Components of the Accountability Department

Accountability-serves to provide all stakeholders with important information on the performance and progress of Coastal Plains High School.

Assessment-provide state assessments to measure student achievement of the state adopted content standards and inform efforts to improve teaching and learning.

  • ACCESS for ELLs is used to determine the English language proficiency levels and progress of ELs in the domains of speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Milestones Assessment System - Georgia Milestones measures how well students have learned the knowledge and skills outlined in the state-adopted content standards in English Language Arts, mathematics, science and social studies.

Data Collection-collect and maintain education records for documentation and state reporting purposes. The Data Collection documentation includes the following: 

  • Free/Reduced Price Meal Eligibility
  • Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) / FTE Data Survey
  • GUIDE (Georgia Unique Identifier for Education)  
  • Student Class 
  • Student Record
